Cole Sjoholm is a top-producing loan originator who set foot on all seven continents in a single calendar year (2023) as a solo, LGBTQ traveler.

With over twenty years of experience in banking and finance, Cole has helped thousands of homeowners buy and refinance residential real estate in Colorado, Florida, Arizona, and Wyoming (NMLS 681575).

On New Year's Eve 2022, during a conversation with a friend, Cole was asked a simple question that changed his life: “Would you go?” Five days later, trips to all seven continents were booked, and Cole began his global journey. From the vibrant cities of Europe to the icy expanses of Antarctica, and from the sun-drenched landscapes of Australia to the bustling streets of the Far East, Cole completed 71 flights, covered 110,246 miles, and spent 167 nights exploring the world. This was not merely about ticking items off a bucket list; it was about discovering a new way of living and filling his bucket with unforgettable experiences.

He detailed his year on his travel blog, “Mortgage Guy Travels the World,” sharing anecdotes and stunning photography. Cole turned his newfound passion for writing into his first book, titled “Filling My Bucket: A Year of Solo Travel Across Seven Continents,” and is working on a follow-up titled “People ‘n Places: The Untold Story,” which highlights street photography and unplanned portraits from locations around the globe.

Upon returning home to Colorado after successfully setting foot on his seventh continent of 2023 on December 22nd, Cole established himself as a travel agent with InteleTravel, a home-based business that allows him to share his experience and passion for travel. He specializes in cruises, all-inclusive vacations, solo travel, and LGBTQ travel.

Cole is also the current Board of Directors President of the Colorado Mortgage Lenders Association and a past Board President of the Community Food Bank of Grand Junction.
