SF - recap of days 1, 2, 3
San Francisco holds the only city where I have ever felt car sick. Like not the I've been looking at my phone car sick...more like if I go up and over another hill, stomp on the break, take a corner a little too quickly car sick.
I've never experienced that before.
SF has been largely what I expected in unexpected way. Unexpected was how much I loved my time on Alcatraz. It felt familiar and inspired me like San Juan does. Visually stunning but unlike the warmth and comfort of San Juan, Alcatraz has a harsh and coldness that also felt comfortable. The starkness contrasted with the beautiful city skyline on the most picture perfect, cloudless, blue sky day.
All in one day, I visited Alcatraz, Fisherman's Wharf, Ghirardelli Square + Lombard St. It was a trek in its own right.
Wednesday evening, I also attended the national tour of Broadway's Dear Evan Hansen.
Thursday was a normal day in the life of Jason. I met Jason in Miami, and he lives here in the Bay Area. We met for lunch and then went to the spa and relaxed until we received our treatments. A facial was in order at the Burke Williams spa inside the Westfield Shopping Center.
Relaxed and rejuvenated, I set out to find some Vietnamese food for dinner, and Jasmine Garden on 14th and Market was an excellent find. I may have died and gone to food heaven.
Preview of today, Friday, Feb 17th: a walk across the Golden Gate Bridge and wandering around Sausalito.
