Swerving right, not left

I've been back home for 10 days already and so much has been going on I haven't had time to upload the last photos from Brisbane, photos and videos from my dive at The Great Barrier Reef, but I have been reflecting back on my Australia/South Pacific trip each and every day...fondly.

I am also making progress on the book idea!

The cats and I are settling into life at the Main St House, and they are likely far more settled than I, given it's been their home for over a month and mine for 12 days.

The Lanscaping is almost finished. I now have a doorbell. The window coverings are on order and some new office furniture gets delivered tomorrow. New dining room chairs should be ready for pickup soon, but the travel continues.

Palm Springs is calling my name after a quick trip to Denver for a work conference this week. Another Will and Craig visit in April and then I also booked a ticket to go down to Phoenix to see my parents and brother and sister-in-law in early May.

I've had a really fun week in Grand Junction too. I finished March very strong at work. Caden, Patricia and team really did an excellent job while I was traveling and we had my best month in both units and volume in about 6 months. To top it all off, we FINALLY had some beautiful weather this past weekend, although more snow is forecasted for tomorrow.

I am excited to update the travel scoreboard again next week and be adding to the mikes driven, mikes flown, hotel nights while hopefully avoid any lost/stolen or broken flip flops!

Until then, here are some photos and hopefully a video or two:

My first-ever scuba dive on The Great Barrier Reef

The extremely rough boat ride from the Carnival Luminosa to Heart Pontoon. Keep in mind I was sitting on the 2 story of a large 2 story boat and waves/spray were hitting the windows on the way to and from the GBR.

Some snorkeling video from Mystery Island, Vanuatu

Photos of my 14 hour day in Brisbane. I took a taxi from the port to the Airport. Stored my bag in a locker at the airport as you couldn't check-in for the flight from Brisbane to LAX until 3 hours before departure, took the train from the airport to Brisbane Central Station and then walked 19,605 steps around the city!

I lugged my backpack and full camera gear around in the 80+ degree temps. Visiting the City botanical Gardens, Queensland University of Technology (QUT), the Brisbane Sign and Southbank neighborhood and finished with some shopping and a lovely lunch at Queen Street Mall.

I got used to swerving to the left instead of the right. Even the escalators function the opposite of us (of course), so arriving back in the States I've found myself getting in the way occasionally when I swerve to the left 🤷🏻‍♂️
